Jammu's Tribute to Valor and Sacrifice

Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha emphasized that Operation Sindoor exemplifies the bravery and sacrifices made by the Indian armed forces, conveying a strong message globally that India will respond decisively to any threat against its citizens.

He highlighted that India has demonstrated its might by swiftly neutralizing enemy defenses and airfields shortly after the operation commenced.

Sinha stated, "Operation Sindoor sends a clear signal that we will avenge every drop of blood shed by an Indian citizen. No one should dare to challenge our nation."

During a ceremony commemorating the Diamond Jubilee of India's victory over Pakistan in the 1965 war, the lieutenant governor honored martyrs and recognized ex-servicemen. This event was organized by the Western Command and the 26 Infantry Division in Jammu.

Speaking at a large gathering of ex-servicemen, LG Sinha remarked that both the 1965 war victory and the recent Operation Sindoor reflect the courage and dedication of the Indian armed forces, which rank among the strongest worldwide.

He paid tribute to the heroes of the 1965 conflict, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of India's sovereignty. "The land of our soldiers, who stand as the first line of defense against terrorism from Pakistan, is sacred," he asserted.

Sinha expressed his unwavering commitment to supporting ex-servicemen, stating, "My policies are fundamentally built on a deep respect for veterans. For me, the land of our ex-servicemen is akin to a pilgrimage site. Their contributions have been vital to our economic growth, social change, and the revival of a proud India."

He urged ex-servicemen to leverage their leadership and discipline in community service and civic engagement initiatives.

"Our veterans serve as role models for the youth. They should guide the younger generation towards the right path and instill values of patriotism, discipline, and selfless service," he added.
